The week before lockdown 2.0 kicked in, Bernie and Ian had their big day. Covid had other ideas for their original plans, but that wasn’t going to stop them saying their “I do’s”!
I made my way across Essex to Channels Lodge in Chelmsford where Bernie and Ian, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, were getting ready. Bernie was in the makeup chair getting ready, and Ian was soon suited up and made his way to Chelmsford Record Office so that we could finally stop hiding the dress!
Pretty soon the cabs had arrived to pick everyone up and we were on our way to Chelmsford. The ceremony went without a hitch and the newlyweds were beaming from ear to ear! After a few quick snaps and a load of confetti, we made our way back to Channels for a few pics. The weather wasn’t on our side, but thankfully the Channels Retreat where Bernie and Ian were staying is stunning inside! We made the most of the building and, once the rain had slowed down a bit, we managed to run outside for a final few snaps. After a quick cake cut and a few group shots, I left the happy couple to enjoy the evening with their guests.
This was another really special one for me, the micro weddings this year have been so great. It clearly means so much to everyone to be there and especially to the bride and groom that they’ve finally managed to get married after so many setbacks.
Big congrats guys!
