What a day! Sarah and Paul’s big day was my first wedding of 2019 and it did not disappoint. My day began in Colchester at the Greyfriars Hotel with Sarah and her bridal party. Everyone was pretty chilled out, a few minor hiccups but nothing to worry about. Meanwhile the boys were just around the corner at home getting suited and booted and ready for the big day. After dashing around to see them for a few quick photos, I headed back to Sarah and the girls to grab a few more snaps before heading off to Colchester Castle, just up the road.

The ceremony was soon underway and everyone was beaming with smiles. Sarah and Paul were soon saying their “I do’s” and were husband and wife! After walking back up the aisle we headed outside to quickly run through the group shots before letting the wedding guests make their way to Moot Hall inside Colchester Town Hall just up the road. We stayed outside and braved the cold weather and the drizzly rain making the most of the amazing grounds at Colchester Castle, it really is an amazing place. Just before we all completely froze we popped back inside to grab a few more photos before heading off to join the rest of the wedding party.

It was soon time for the wedding breakfast, swiftly followed by the speeches. Lots and lots of laughter later, we were cutting the cake and beginning the first dance. I stayed close by for the start of the first dance before running to the top of the balcony to grab a shot of the whole of Moot Hall from up top. Soon, this very breathless photographer ran back downstairs to get amongst the dancing just as the party was kicking off.

After a few more photos inside the town hall (some of my favourites from the day), including a rainy balcony shot (another favourite!), it was time for Paul and his groomsmen to take the stage…

Paul and his band played well into the night whilst the guests tore up the dance floor! It was great to photograph and the guests loved it. I really really loved being part of this day, and a big thanks to Sarah and Paul for putting up with the weather and spending so much time with me getting photos! It was an absolute pleasure to be involved, big congrats guys…
