It was finally Romy and Scott’s big day! I’d been looking forward to this one for a long, long time, and it did not disappoint in the slightest! After cancelling their original venue, this awesome couple decided they were going for a DIY wedding on the farm of a member of Romy’s family…and it looked amazing!

My morning began just up the road at the Rayleigh Club where Romy and her bridal party were all getting ready. Everyone was pretty chilled out for most of the morning, just one or two tears here and there…mainly from an emotional Mother of the bride! We were soon ready to go and the cars were waiting outside. It was time to get married!

At St Peter & St Paul’s church in Hockley, Essex, I found Scott and the rest of the wedding party awaiting the arrival of the bride. Romy was soon making her way up the aisle, grinning ear to ear and ready to say her “I do’s”.

We soon had two very happy newlyweds walking back up the aisle and out of the church. After throwing some confetti around and a handful of photos at the church, it was time to make our way over to the farm!

I was blown away by the transformation of the barn and the grounds at the farm. Romy, Scott and their family had worked so hard and done themselves proud, it looked absolutely amazing! We were spoilt for choice with space to get photos and we really made the most of it, and still left with plenty of time to mingle with guests!

After a BBQ and some fairground games it was time to head in for the speeches. Full of laughter, love and even a poem! After some more time with guests we headed out to the fields just as the sun was starting to come down for a few more photos before going back inside the first dance. These two were brilliant from start to finish and their first dance did not disappoint! It was so much fun and everyone loved it, especially me!

After snapping some shots on the dancefloor (some of my favourite dancefloor shots ever…keep an eye out from Romy’s brother…legend), and a quick sparkler tunnel outside, I left the happy couple to enjoy the rest of their night with their guests.

It was one of my favourite weddings ever with some amazing people. Big thanks to Romy and Scott for having me, and to their family for being so welcoming too! Massive congrats to you both guys…
