Tucked away in the country lanes of Essex is Down Hall. I’d been wanting to photograph a wedding at Down Hall for quite some time, and it did not disappoint! My day began with shooting Lisa’s bridal prep. Everyone was pretty calm, the youngest member of the bridal party even found time for a nap or two! Pretty soon guests were starting to arrive and take their seats in the ceremony room, and it was time for the “I do’s”!
Everything went without a hitch and the newlyweds were grinning from ear to ear. After a few minutes we braved the cold autumn weather and ran outside to grab a few photos. The colours in the trees were amazing and we were so grateful that the rain held off!
We were soon back indoors to do a few group shots before it was time to sit down for speeches and dinner. Before dinner could finish though, the happy couple had a surprise for their guests…singing waiters! These guys had everyone up on their feet and they put a smile on everyones faces, it was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing singing waiters and now I want them at every wedding!
We braved the drizzly weather and headed outside for another photo or two, before heading in for the cake cut and first dance.
I had a great day and Down Hall and Lisa and Scott were brilliant to photograph. Big congrats to you both guys!
