It was Nicola and John’s big day! I was looking forward to this one, I love Friern Manor and it had been a while since I’d been back. The day began at Nicola’s parents’ house in Stanford Le Hope, just up the road from me! After a little while we were ready to make the short journey to Friern Manor to finish getting ready. It wasn’t long though before John rolled up looking like James Bond in his friends Jaguar…not jealous at all.
It was soon time for the big moment and everything and everyone was in place. Nicola was soon making her way up the aisle and ready to say her “I do’s!” The ceremony went without a hitch and the happy couple were soon holding hands and walking back up the aisle as husband and wife!
The weather wasn’t looking too good, so we rushed through Nic and John’s photos as quickly as we could, and then ran through a few group shots too. Pretty soon the newlyweds were back with their guests and enjoying their day and I’m pretty sure, after a bit of a rocky start, it stayed dry for the rest of the day!
We were soon being called in for the wedding breakfast, starting with the speeches! Lots of laughter, love, and a few embarrassing moments, but everyone was left beaming at the end.
After dinner we ran outside to grab one or two more snaps with the umbrellas (one of my favourite shots of the day!), before going to greet the evening guests as they started to arrive. Soon it was time for the cake cut and first dance! The dance floor was now open, and you couldn’t keep the kids off of it!
We headed outside for a few more nighttime snaps, including a couple of smoke bombs, and then I left the happy couple to it. I had a blast with these two and their guests. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of, thanks for making me feel so welcome and for being so great to work with! Big congrats to you both!
