Alex and Luke, on their FOURTH wedding date, finally did it! They made it, with just a day or two to rearrange everything, and managed to say ‘I do’ on the last day before lockdown.
Alex was getting ready at home surrounded by family and friends, whilst just up the road, Luke was getting ready at a local hotel. It wasn’t long before everyone was ready, the car had arrived, and we were on our way to Houchins.
Houchins is a stunning venue all year round, but in autumn in particular, with the sun out in full force, it’s pretty special! The guests had arrived, the masks were on, button holes were pinned into place, we were just waiting for our bride to arrive!
The ceremony went without a hitch and the newlyweds were soon making their way back up the aisle, beaming from ear to ear! I left the happy couple with the guests for a little while before we went for a little walk around the grounds to grab a few pics. We made the most of the colours in the trees and the amazing grounds we had to work with, before heading back for some group shots and to throw the confetti.
Next up, we made our way back inside for a chat, a drink and to cut the cake! Outside, the sun was just starting to set so with our last little bit of time we went for a walk over to the fields next to the venue for a final few pics. Soon, the happy couple were hopping into their car to make their way back home for a family dinner to round the day off.
These guys fought so hard to make their big day happen, and they did it, they pulled it off. Love wins again. Not Covid.
Big congrats guys!
