Stock brook Country Club: Catty & Beres
20 August 2018
The big day was finally here! I’d been looking forward to this one ever since meeting Catty and Beres for a coffee to chat about their big day many many months before. I was looking forward to it even more after shooting their engagement shoot! They are the happiest people in the world and so much fun to be around, it’s pretty clear in the photos just how much they love having a laugh.
So the day started at a hotel just up the road from Stock Brook Country Club in Essex. Catty was in a room at one end of the corridor and Beres was at the other end in a room with the rest of the groomsmen. There was makeup, hairspray, lots of cufflinks, a couple of guys having a shave in the corridor, and one confused groomsman googling ‘how to do a bowtie’. Standard wedding stuff! The happy couple even managed to find time to share a very sweet moment and hold hands around a corner for a last minute prayer.
At Stock Brook Country Club the ceremony went without a hitch. There were so many smiles and lots of happy tears too. We soon jumped into the group shots before taking the newlyweds off for their photos. I’d learnt from their engagement shoot that this was going to be easy…they’re both such naturally happy and smiley people. I had no problems at all getting some happy shots of them both!
We popped back inside after these photos to have a first look at the stunning wedding reception and decorations. Beres saw his design come to life as the logo he had created was printed on the dance floor (take a look at the pics!) and even I had a proud little moment when I saw my photos from the engagement shoot all around the room!
The guests soon took to their seats and the newlyweds made their entrance..and what an entrance it was! I’m pretty sure these guys aren’t sure how to walk, they dance everywhere they go! Dinner was amazing and the speeches were brilliant, there was even time for a quick game of ‘Mr and Mrs’, and then it wasn’t long before the cake cut and first dance.
After a couple of photos outside and one quick smoke bomb, we all went back inside to dance the night away. These guys really have become two of my favourite people and I wish them every happiness, they truly deserve it. Big congrats to you both guys!
