What a wedding! I really did love Dan and Lisa’s big day. There were lots of smiles and a pretty relaxed bride-to-be waiting for me when I arrived at The Old Rectory in Brentwood. Lisa went off to get ready and it wasn’t too long before Dan and the rest of the groomsmen were arriving, swiftly followed by the first few guests.
Pretty soon Lisa was in her dress and ready to go and guests were taking their seats outside for the ceremony. Everything went perfectly and the sun was beaming down on everyone throughout the ceremony. The newly weds were soon smiling their way back down the aisle and greeting their guests. After some mingling, confetti and a handful of group shots, me and the happy couple took a break from the crowds to get some snaps of just the two of them.
They were up for lots of shots in the beautiful grounds which I’m so grateful for. I absolutely love the smoke bomb pics that we managed to get (and the night time ones too!), and the weather helped to create some beautiful summery images too.
It wasn’t long before dinner was ready and everyone went inside for shelter from the sun and a burger…or two. Speeches were short and sweet and perfectly suited the informal, relaxed style of the day. The cake cut and first dance soon followed and the guests were pretty quick to get on the dance floor too! I do love it when the guests are keen to get involved, I love a good dance floor photo!
After a little while, once the sun had hidden itself away, the newlyweds and me went out for a few night time shots and I reeeaaallly do love some of these shots. It was a bit of an experimental photoshoot. I played about with lighting and the smoke bombs too and I’m really happy with how they came out. Take a peek!
This was a great wedding with a genuinely lovely pair of people. Dan and Lisa were a pleasure to be around, really funny and relaxed and they made my job super easy! Big congrats to you both!
